Suggested solution
Build a service that reads a borrower's bank transactions, with consent, and gives the lender a documented check that the borrower can afford to repay, as 2 companies already do in 2 other countries.
- Borrower. Today: Declares income and expenses on the application. With the suggested solution: Shares bank data with consent instead.
- Lender. Today: Uses declared or flat-rate expenses. With the suggested solution: Reads expenses from the bank transactions.
- Lender's staff. Today: Leaves declared expenses unchecked against statements. With the suggested solution: Reviews only the items software flags.

About this section
- What this shows
- Czech companies that already sell this, and firms nearby that sell something else.
- Why it matters to a builder
- A mature Czech seller means taking customers from an incumbent. Firms nearby still matter: the buyer may already pay them.
- How to read the score
- More points mean a more open field. 2/2 means no Czech company sells this, 1/2 only early ones do, 0/2 a mature one does.

Makes it harder
- The buyers are lenders that want a record of each check the central bank will accept.

About this section
- What this shows
- What stands between you and the first sale: who buys, what permission selling needs, what it must plug into, and whether it needs outside money.
- Why it matters to a builder
- It tells you whether a small team can start selling soon, or needs a licence, a certification or funding first.
- How to read the score
- More points mean easier to enter: 3/3 is easy, 0/3 very hard. It is not added to the Opportunity total, and local competition does not count here: that is Market gap.

Suggested first moves
- Build a check for shops selling on interest-free instalments that reads the buyer's bank data and returns a yes or no with its reasons.
- Call the heads of risk at mid-size non-bank lenders and ask what the central bank found in their checks.
- Buy the bank data from a firm licensed to pass it on, rather than reading bank accounts yourself.

Suggested first moves
About this section
- What this shows
- A few concrete steps to start with.
- Why it matters to a builder
- They are cheap ways to learn whether buyers will pay, before you build much.
- Build a check for shops selling on interest-free instalments that reads the buyer's bank data and returns a yes or no with its reasons. The bill gives these shops a simpler check that may use bank data shared with consent, and nobody counts how many of them there are; see Why now. Start with one electronics or phone seller that already offers instalments, run your check beside its current one for a month, and show where the two disagree.
- Call the heads of risk at mid-size non-bank lenders and ask what the central bank found in their checks. Ask too what they pay for bank data today. The regulator's findings and fines are under The opportunity and Willing to pay, and those findings are what a lender has to fix. Ask each one which seller under Market gap they already use and what it leaves them to do by hand.
- Buy the bank data from a firm licensed to pass it on, rather than reading bank accounts yourself. The firms under Market gap include one that sells raw account data and no score, and buying from it spares you the central bank's authorisation; see Execution difficulty.
- Keep every check as a file the lender can show the central bank or the financial arbiter later. On small short-term loans the lender must always prove its check was sound, as Why now explains, so a kept check is worth as much as the decision.
